Struggling Through asked:
We’re talking outrageously, like in the most amazing of circumstances. You know you will always come in second to what they want, and for various personal reasons (they’re family, and other more important reasons) this person is not someone who can be taken out of your life. It’s not personal; they put self before *everyone* else, it’s just part of who they are and a psychological sickness/shortcoming like anxiety or compulsive lying. Their decisions will emotionally impact you for the rest of your life…so what are things/ideas to simply make the situation “better?”
