Category: Coping with Modern Life

Modern life creates so many schizoid features within the human psyche, it’s absolutely unreal. Our instincts, evolved over millions and millions of years and fine-tuned to suit the needs of the world upon which we live, are suddenly outdated and in many cases, even harmful. We’re having difficulty adjusting.
Modern life is showing us what we really are, and many of us don’t like what we see. By and large, most animals think that they are the pinnacle of existence, that their type of life is the natural way and that all other animals are somehow inferior just by virtue of not being one of them. Modern life is showing us that for us, at least, such is pure and utter bull{pucky}.
Modern life is forcing humanity to either grow up, or kill itself off. We’ve lived so long in that psychological place of intellectual infancy in which most of nature resides, that letting go of it and yielding to a more mature, purposeful existence feels almost like cutting off one’s own finger or arm.
Modern life is a test humanity has yet to either pass or fail. It’s only a matter of time either way.

This modern day society of people are extremely lazy.
Every thing has gotten so easy people have forgotten what hard work is.
People think they have to drive every where they go. what happend to walking or a bike. Every thing is in a fast pace mode and know one cares about others. They are only out for themselves and noone else.
This country is only going to get worse, and it may never get better.
